Acolytes and Servers

The Acolytes were officially commissioned after completing a training course. They assist the priest at the altar during the celebration of Mass. Senior Servers have the same functions; they oversee the flow of the Mass after the manner of "masters of ceremonies". They assist the priest and direct the other ministers. They distribute Communion at Mass and (if possible) to the sick and housebound outside mass. Junior Servers

Altar

Sacristans ensure that everything that is used in the liturgy is kept clean and tidy, and the altar and sanctuary look beautiful. They also open and close the church.

Also, this ministry consists of parishioners involved in Church Cleaning, Flower Arranging, Laundering (servers' albs, alter linen), Window Cleaning, and Brass Cleaning.

Children's Liturgy of the Word

Children to the age of ten are invited at Sunday Mass to gather as a group to ponder the Word together with instruction by an Adult. They sit and listen to the scripture readings of the Sunday, in language that they won't find difficult. They are asked questions about the scripture and how they should apply the teachings contained in them to their lives.

Church Wardens

The Wardens invite members of the congregation (ad hoc volunteers) to assist in the first and second collection and the procession of the gifts. Wardens also take care of the money collected as well as assisting people to find a seat in the Church.

Counters

Counters meet on Mondays to count the money offered in the collections on Sundays and prepare them for banking.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Ministers in this ministry enable the sick and incapacitated of the Parish to receive the blessed Eucharist as Viaticum in this way allowing them to feel united to the community and sustained by the love of their brethren.

These minsters also assist with the distribution of the blessed Eucharist under both kinds.

Welcomers

Parishioners are welcomed at the doors of the church as they arrive for all weekend Masses. They also distribute the weekly church bulletin.

Lectors

Readers are rostered for each Vigil and Sunday Mass. The Readers strive to deepen their understanding of the Scriptures so that as they read from the ambo they are truly proclaiming God's word within the community.

Liturgy Team

This group of parishioners prepare the Liturgy for Sundays and other special ceremonies such as feasts and parish events. They also develop creative ideas for the celebrations. The team meet monthly.

Music Ministry

As part of the worshipping Assembly, the main task of the Music Ministry is to lead the sung prayer of the people; to encourage, reinforce and enhance the singing of the Assembly. It consists of The Parish Choir, Organists and Cantors. Weekly Wednesday meetings.
